Alder Road Group Information

Alder Road is a street in Liverpool. It's where David O'Brien's grandmother Rose lived — and where, from her kitchen, he first understood what it meant to make people feel genuinely at home. The bread was always fresh. The kettle was always on. The door was always open. Nobody left without feeling like the most important person in the room. That was the beginning of everything. David O'Brien founded Alder Road Group on a simple belief: that great hospitality — done with care, precision and genuine warmth — has the power to connect us all. Not just at the table, but in the moments that surround it. The arrival. The first drink. The room that feels like it was set just for you. Thirteen years on, that belief sits at the heart of four brands. Cook & Waiter — Sydney's leading event caterer. Food, drinks and service for corporate events, brand activations, weddings and private celebrations. The same standard, every occasion. Food Rascal — Workplace hospitality and consultancy. Daily catering, kitchen design, food strategy and operational support for some of Australia's most respected organisations, including a long-term partnership with Atlassian across Sydney and Melbourne. Saltbox — A versatile event venue in Wunderlich Lane, Surry Hills. Corporate events, brand experiences and private celebrations, with food by Cook & Waiter. Bakehouse Twenty — The group's in-house bakery in Bondi. Bread, pastry and baked goods made by hand, with care, every single day. Together, these four brands form our creative pantry — built around a single purpose: hospitality that genuinely moves people. We're always open to conversations with like-minded clients, collaborators and talent. Where hospitality finds its way.
