Techstars helps founders scale their startups into world-changing businesses. Founded in 2006, Techstars is on a mission to invest in startups to enable more capital to flow to more entrepreneurs around the world in order to deliver exceptional returns to our investors. We do this by operating accelerator programs and venture capital funds, as well as by connecting startups, investors, corporations, and cities to help build thriving startup communities. Our results show why Techstars is Better for Founders than any other global accelerator: On average, 74.5% of Techstars companies will raise money within 3 years of their program; 18.5% of Techstars portfolio companies have exited 5 years after their program and 31.1% after eight years. Our faculty has a broad focus on societal challenges, and we have earned a reputation for high-quality disciplinary and interdisciplinary research and education. We are located at Frederiksberg and have approx. 20.000 full and part-time students, 800 full-time faculty members, 200 PhD students and 700 administrative staff, and a full portfolio of Bachelor, Master’s, MBA/EMBA, PhD and Executive programmes taught in English and Danish. The Innovation Fund Denmark invests in the development and marketing of knowledge, new technologies and products with the purpose of finding solutions to societal challenges, support business opportunities and strengthen growth, employment and welfare. With the establishment of the Innovation Fund April 1 2014 the Danish research and innovation system was significantly simplified. The Foundation will be offering grants for activities within strategic research, technology and innovation. The budget of the Foundation is close to DKK 1.6 billion in 2014. The Innovation Fund Denmark will contribute to stronger coherency across research, technological development and innovation, including community partnerships focused on product development and innovation.
