Alberta Workers' Health Centre Information

The Alberta Workers' Health Centre is here to help all workers. We believe that every worker is entitled to a safe and healthy workplace. We support all workers, both unionized and non-unionized, who need assistance to make their workplaces healthier and safer, or who request help as a result of workplace injuries or illnesses. We do this by:Acting as a point of first contact for workers seeking helpProviding workers with education and information to help them solve workplace health and safety problemsPromoting health and safety issues in schools, post-secondary institutions and the communityRaising public awareness about workplace health and safety issuesImplicit in our work is the recognition that other employment issues cannot be separated from our understanding of workplace health and safety and an embracing of the principles of social and economic justiceThe Centre is a registered charitable organization that is operated by a small, full-time staff taking direction from a volunteer Board of Directors of working women and men from across the province.
