SUNY Oneonta is a mid-size, four-year, public university offering more than 60 undergraduate programs on a residential campus in Central New York. The Arc is the largest national community-based organization advocating for and serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. With approximately 140,000 members affiliated through over 600 state and local chapters across the nation, we are on the front lines to ensure that people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families have the support and services they need to be fully engaged in their communities.
The Arc promotes and protects the human rights of people with I/DD and actively supports their full inclusion and participation in the community throughout their lifetimes.

The Resource Center has been providing services to persons with disabilities in the Chautauqua County area since 1959. From our humble beginnings as a gathering of parents and concerned citizens who wanted to provide educational and training opportunities for persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities, The Resource Center has grown into a comprehensive agency providing services to thousands of persons with all types and levels of disabilities.
The mission of The Resource Center is to support individuals with disabilities and other challenges in achieving maximum independence, contributing to their community, experiencing lifelong growth, and enjoying quality of life.
