ALAnostics Information

ALAnostics are a speciality Biopharmaceutical company, and a spin-off from the University of Geneva, developing tumour paint to help surgeons identify and remove breast cancer in real-time during breast conserving surgery. The company is headquartered in the MassChallenge offices at Renens, at the heart of the Swiss start-up community in Vaud. Mission and scope: ALAnostics will develop best-in-class photosensitzers (tumour paint) for the photodetection of early stage breast cancer during breast conserving surgery. We aim to make the use of our tumour paint during breast conserving surgery the gold standard procedure within the next 5 years, preventing unnecessary mastectomies during secondary operations, reducing the re-operation rate, and ultimately saving patient lives.
