Friends of Santa Cruz State Parks (Friends) is a vital partner with California State Parks in Santa Cruz County and coastal San Mateo County. Friends is creatively working to ensure our cherished local parks and beaches are thriving and available to all. Friends’ innovative and collaborative community partnership provides support and investment for education, equity and inclusion, conservation, facilities improvements, historic preservation and cultural events.

The American Alliance of Museums (AAM) is the only organization representing the entire museum field, from art and history museums to science centers and zoos. Since 1906, AAM has been championing museums through advocacy and providing museum professionals with the resources, knowledge, inspiration, and connections they need to move the field forward. AAM’s Alliance of 35,000 museums and museum professionals seeks to better our communities, and our world, through collaborative human-centered experiences, education, and connection to histories, cultures, the natural world, and one another. Housing the first state-sponsored art collection in the US, the North Carolina Museum of Art (NCMA) promotes cultural inspiration and creativity, with free access to the arts. Whether in our galleries showcasing the People’s Collection (the permanent collection belonging to the citizens of North Carolina), or our outreach programs in all 100 counties of the state, or our 164-acre Museum Park, we strive to create a sense of welcome and belonging for all. With works representing more than 5,000 years of art history, our collection serves as a valuable cultural resource for both North Carolina and the nation. The Museum Park, including site-specific artworks exhibited among the native flora and fauna of NC, encourages reflection and play in novel, natural contexts.
