Akedo Studio, simply neo-retro gaming. It’s never been so trendy to be old school. Flirting between retro gaming and modern gaming, Akedo Studio's mission is to reveal players through many challenges. Akedo Studio joins the Indies to rethink the oldies. Created in 2019, our studio is completely independent because self-financed, we have our own technology and we have defined our editor. Our commitment is rooted in the pleasure of playing, quite simply. It’s not simply about nostalgia, but gameplay. Give priority to playability, take risks and returning back to the roots are the values of Akedo Studio. We seek to develop authentic games that appeal to the gamer’s skills and focus primarily on the fun of play. We want the players to create and own their style of play, we invite them to surpass and reinvent themselves to develop their skills. There are few savegames, no infinite lives, but challenges and adventures. Akedo Studio, it’s playful, raw, with a pinch of vintage. Akedo Studio is the initiative of a 3D programmer who built most of his skills at Ubisoft Montreal - from Rainbow Six to For Honor through Splinter Cell and Watch Dogs. Nostalgic of his first lines of code, in Basic, on Amiga 500, when he creates his first game: an Asteroid like shooter, Nicolas wanted to find the taste of the creation again, the beauty and the magic of the old school video game experience.
