Akara is a healthcare technology company. Our mission is to modernize public health using technology. We are doing this through a digital infection control platform that combines environmental sensing, mobile apps and automated room decontamination. Akara are a spin-out from Trinity College Dublin, Ireland’s #1 university. The company emerged from more than a decade of research in cutting-edge robotics, artificial intelligence, applied microbiology, and user-centred design. Our team have extensive experience deploying service robots in the healthcare industry, and our work has previously featured on the cover of Time magazine. Our technology has been developed in collaboration with leading hospitals in Europe and has been validated in numerous peer-reviewed scientific publications.
