Ajelo's technology was the first fully automatic solution to dispatch shared rides on the fly, dynamically combining trips heading in the same direction into one vehicle. The consumer service pilot in Helsinki was branded "Kutsuplus" and caught wide attention around the world. In November 2014, Ajelo was acquired by Split, a subsidiary of Transdev North America.
