Ajax Acro's Gymnastics Club Information

The club is a not-for-profit organization run by parent volunteers that rely on membership fees and fundraising activities to pay for the equipment, facilities, and coaches. All of the coaches at the club are nationally certified by Gymnastics Ontario and most have multiple years of experience in the field as coaches, athletes, and judges. The focus of the club is to provide a safe and fun environment for all participants (both experienced and novice) to learn and experience the benefits of gymnastics at their own pace in a safe and supportive way. The club uses a level system to track and measure progress that has been approved by Gymnastics Ontario for use with recreational gymnasts. Durham Whiz Kids Gymnastics Academy was opened in 1994. Eight enthusiastic families joined together to start the club. In September 1995, the club was recognized as a member club by Gymnastics Ontario. Attracting boys from all over Durham, the club has had many athletes enrolled in the program. They have achieved great success at the Interclub, Provincial and National level.
