Equipment is used for retraining of long term unemployed, practical vocational training, providing work for volunteers, apprenticeships and schools work experience placements. We give many computers to local good causes and many are sold at low cost into the community and to the trade with all the proceeds being donated to our charity; Chrysalis Youth & Community Project who run a sports and community centre for young people in Airedale called THE HUT. We provide a source of information, a conference speaker and we comment on computer recycling issues. We provide the Chair for the Regional Electronics Initiative, a network of similar establishments across the north of England. We also host visits from all over the world for people to see an established self sufficient and extremely successful social enterprise in action.
