As a regional nonprofit economic development corporation, South Eastern Economic Development (SEED) Corporation focuses on job creation by financing start-up and existing small businesses in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
SEED makes loans ranging from a $1,000 Micro Loan to a $5.5 million SBA 504 Loan and also administers a small business technical assistance program.

Patrick brought his knowledge from managing a sod farm, then acting as a superintendent of one of the largest earthmoving companies at the time in Michigan. After Patrick's death in 2011, his grandson Mark Sholtis took over the company along with Diane. In 2015, Marks wife Ashley joined the team as the Office Manager. Mark is now the vice president and his wife, Ashley is the president. Together, they provide revegetation and erosion control for roads and highways, airports, and commercial developments throughout the lower peninsula of Michigan, as well as throughout Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio.
