Healthcare providers have digitised medical records. But sharing those records still involves a lot of manual work. When a patient or authorised healthcare professional requests medical documents, clinic staff must verify the person’s identity and permission, collect the required reports and images, check that nothing is missing, confirm where the records should be sent, send them securely and answer follow-up questions. This can take around 30 minutes for each request. A radiology department at a Swiss hospital handles around 20 requests every day. One regional imaging network reported creating more than 800 CDs per month. Even clinics that no longer use CDs often rely on USB drives, large email attachments, links that expire and manual identity checks. Agora Care brings these steps together in one secure and traceable workflow. Each request arrives with the required information. The requester’s identity has already been verified, and proof of permission is attached. Staff can send the medical records securely from their existing workstation. Every time someone accesses the records, it is logged. If records are sent to the wrong person, access can be removed immediately. Clinics do not need to install a new system. CDs and other manual solutions become the exception. We are building Agora Care with imaging centres and clinics in Switzerland.
