Agati Furniture, Public Space Furniture Designed and Manufactured in the USA. Agati designs, engineers, and manufactures durable furniture for public spaces including airports, libraries, schools, healthcare facilities, government buildings, and corporate environments. Founded in 1981 by award winning product designer, engineer, and sculptor Joe Agati Sr., Agati was built on a simple belief: you do not have to sacrifice design for durability. Joe's research into human behavior and biophilic design principles shaped an approach to furniture that balances comfort, functionality, and clean aesthetics. That work earned recognition including the Contract Magazine IBD Award for Furniture Design and a place in the Chicago Historical Society's permanent collection. The Agati Petro Series toured with the History of Chicago Furniture Show to the Cooper Hewitt in New York and the Smithsonian in Washington, D.C. Today, led by Joe S. Agati, we continue that tradition of observation and innovation. We study how people use spaces, then design furniture that improves their experience.
