AFS Egypt, established in 1959, is an inclusive community of global citizens—students, families, and volunteers—committed to building bridges between cultures. As a volunteer-based organization and partner of AFS International, we aim to make a strong, beneficial impact on society through intercultural education and self-development. AFS prepares future leaders and changemakers with essential 21st-century intercultural skills to engage, lead, and collaborate across cultures. Our programs, including high school study abroad, internships, language learning, and gap year opportunities, are supported by research-based intercultural learning facilitated by trained volunteers. The AFS theory of change involves three key elements: providing first-hand experiences with diversity, structured learning journeys, and real-world exposure to social impact tools, all designed to develop active global citizens.
