A taste for adventure. A passion for quality. Afritex Ventures is an investment holding company with fully established longline and trawler fishing operations in Mozambique and Mauritius. Our entire vessel fleet is self-owned and managed and all locations have state of the art packing and processing facilities, one with an on-site ice plant. All our operations are EU and HACCP accredited and our longline facility in Mozambique is BRC and Fair Trade certified. Our team collectively has decades of expertise in the fishing industry, with knowledge and skills development passed to all personnel across the board. Our group places high value on fair and ethical treatment of our personnel and corporate social responsibility. We are actively involved with various non-profit organisations – contributing towards HIV awareness, drug rehabilitation and have established a feeding program where we donate fish, which is a high source of protein to orphanages. Our freshly caught seafood is exported as fresh or value-added into a range of chef-inspired retail lines, merchandised under our Wild Side and Pristine Seafoods brands, the renowned Margaritaville brand and various private labels. These retail lines include a variety of tuna poke options, fish steaks with delectable toppings and sauces, seafood burgers, langoustine mac ‘n cheese and fish tacos. Our sought after shellfish is exported worldwide and can be found in various Michelin-star restaurants in Europe. Our Afritex group is constantly striving to keep up with global market trends and to develop new and exciting products.
