AFFCAD UK Information

AFFCAD UK support young people and families living in poverty in Bwaise, one of the biggest and poorest slums in Kampala. 90,000 people live in Bwaise without access to services like clean water, shelter or sanitation. And 65% of these are aged between 16-25. We believe that education is the most powerful way to break the poverty cycle, and work with AFFCAD Uganda to deliver programmes that provide quality, accessible education and training to the community in Bwaise. Our vision is a world where young people can grow up free from extreme poverty. In order to achieve this, we seek to create long-term partnerships, engage young people in the UK and generate awareness and sustainable income to tackle the causes of poverty in Kampala’s slum communities.
