Re-established in 1998, Town won the Spartan South Midlands League Division One unbeaten in 1999–2000. In 2012–13, they won the Premier Division unbeaten with 114 points, alongside the Bedfordshire Premier Cup and Challenge Trophy. Another championship and promotion followed in 2013–14. AFC Dunstable began in 1981 as Old Dunstablians. The club progressed through local football, joined the South Midlands League in 1995 and became AFC Dunstable in 2004. Promotion to the Spartan South Midlands Premier Division came in 2010–11, followed by the Premier Division title and promotion to the Southern League in 2015–16. The merger united Dunstable Town's historic identity, community heritage and achievements with AFC Dunstable's structured development, youth pathway and sustained progression.
