AeroDelft is a TU Delft Dream Team (student team) founded in September 2017 which acts as an incubator for student aeronautical projects. The team consists of around 30 students from the TU Delft and two other universities at the Bachelor, Master and PhD level. The team started with Project Talaria, and entry into the GoFly Competition, which challenges teams from around the world to design and build a VTOL vehicle capable of transporting a single person 20 miles as silently as possible. After Talaria became independent in June 2018, the focus was placed on Project Phoenix, a liquid hydrogen-powered motor glider with active drag reduction, capable of flying two people 2000km without carbon emissions. The aircraft is planned to fly for the first time in 2021.
