AEM Movement Information

Advanced Energy Management (AEM) is an innovative technology solution that makes energy use visible, empowering people to optimize energy use, eliminate waste, generate cost savings (20-40%), and reduce CO2 emissions. Movement is the utilization of high school students, AEM Interns, who act as the outsourced energy management team that support commercial buildings within their area to become ENERGY STAR certified. By teaming up with AEM Interns, the owners and operators of commercial buildings become beacons of energy efficiency and sustainability while simultaneously contributing to the real-world education of their future workforce. In essence, each participating commercial building becomes an educational classroom for students to learn real-world professional and life skills. The more participating commercial buildings, the more real-world educational classrooms, the more students learning real-world professional and life skills, the more money businesses save, the less CO2 emissions all contribute to creating a more sustainable community for future generations.
