The Commission on Graduate Education (formerly the Graduate Student Interest Group and founded as the Graduate Education Interest Group) provides support and representation for students within AEJMC. The group was created in 1993 (renamed in 2011 and changed to a commission in 2022) by students dedicated to addressing student issues and amplifying the student voice within the larger body of the AEJMC. A substantial portion of the group’s student-centered programming takes place at the annual AEJMC national convention. The Commission on Graduate Education also communicates with members through a newsletter, listserv, and website.
