The Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) is a global institutional accreditor recognized by the United States Secretary of Education since 1952. As an accreditor and member of the regulatory triad, MSCHE assures students and the public of the educational quality for its over 500 institutions of higher education. The Commission’s accreditation process ensures institutional accountability, self-appraisal, improvement, and innovation through peer review and the rigorous application of standards within the context of institutional mission.

The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) accredits degree-granting higher education institutions in the United States and internationally. The Commission's mission is the enhancement of educational quality and the improvement of institutional effectiveness by ensuring accredited institutions meet standards established by the higher education community that address the needs of society and students. The Commission serves as the common denominator of shared values and practices among the diverse institutions in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and Latin America and other international sites approved by the Commission that award associate, baccalaureate, master’s, or doctoral degrees. Accreditation by SACSCOC signifies that an institution (1) has a mission appropriate to higher education, (2) has resources, programs, and services sufficient to accomplish and sustain that mission, and (3) maintains clearly specified educational objectives consistent with its mission and appropriate to the degrees it offers and that indicate whether it is successful in achieving its stated objectives.

Established in 1988, the Accreditation Council of Business Schools and Programs accredits business and accounting-related programs at all degree levels worldwide. ACBSP is a leading specialized accreditation association for business education supporting, celebrating, and rewarding teaching excellence. The association embraces the virtues of teaching excellence and emphasizes to students that it is essential to learn how to learn. ACBSP acknowledges the importance of scholarly research and inquiry and believes that such activities facilitate improved teaching. Institutions are strongly encouraged to pursue a reasonable mutually beneficial balance between teaching and research. ACBSP encourages faculty involvement within the contemporary business world to enhance the quality of classroom instruction and to contribute to student learning.
