Vehicle Armourer Company History: • 1986 – Kit Format Developed (in conjunction with the CSIR) Now the most cost effective armouring solution, adopted nationally and internationally. • 1989 – Saloon Armouring Systems (developed in conjunction with the CSIR) • 1990 – Panzerwagen concept, more than 20 units currently in operation in Southern Africa • 1992 – Anti hijack protection systems for saloon vehicles • 1996 – Mobile banks – Protection Level increased to AK47 API • 2001 – Venture with Toyota SA Trucks – providing significant knowledge into the armouring of CIT vehicles on the 5-103 chassis. • 2005 – Homologation legislation introduced. Advanced Armour was the first vehicle armourer to comply and be accredited. • 2006 – Prototype 5103 subjected to accelerated test by Toyota SA.
