ADOPT Support Hub Information

The ADOPT Support Hub helps farmers, growers and foresters make the most of ADOPT, the funding programme backing farmer-led, on-farm research and trials. ADOPT (Accelerating Development of Practices and Technologies) is part of Defra's Farming Innovation Programme, delivered in partnership with Innovate UK. It funds collaborative, on-farm trials that test practical solutions to real farming challenges, then shares what works across the wider sector so other farmers can benefit. The Support Hub is your free, first point of contact for everything ADOPT. Whether you have a fully formed idea or just the beginnings of one, we are here to help you develop it and navigate the funding process. Our support includes: - Guidance on developing your project idea and applying for funding - Advice on whether your idea fits the programme - Help finding partners, facilitators and expertise through our Connections Hub - Best-practice support for designing robust on-farm trials - One-to-one feedback on draft applications - Knowledge exchange, so the lessons from funded projects reach the whole farming community All of it is fully funded and free at the point of use. The Hub is delivered by a consortium led by ADAS, in partnership with the UK Agri-Tech Centre and the Soil Association, bringing together deep expertise in agronomy, agri-tech, knowledge exchange and farmer-led research.
