Adopt Change believes that every child has the right to grow up in a safe, nurturing and permanent family environment, and that all families need the appropriate supports for children to thrive. We understand the lasting impact of childhood trauma and deliver a range of services and education to help children and families heal, grow and thrive. We work in partnership with government, sector and community to drive policy and legislative reform that better supports children and families. We believe permanency is critical for positive life outcomes. Our focus is on strengthening families so that vulnerable children can remain safely with their birth families whenever possible. When that’s not an option, we advocate for stable, lifelong alternatives – such as guardianship or adoption – always guided by the child’s best interests.
