Founded in 1973, Esporão is today one of Portugal's most important wine and olive oil producers, while also making Sovina craft beer and offering a wide range of tourism experiences. It all began in the Alentejo region at Herdade do Esporão, where emblematic wines such as Esporão Reserva and Monte Velho are produced, as are extra virgin olive oils. In the Douro Valley, it is based at Quinta dos Murças, and in Vinho Verde it operates at Quinta do Ameal. Esporão is dedicated to pursuing organic agriculture and enhancing sustainability while building close relationships with customers and consumers in more than 50 countries around the world. In all three regions, Alentejo, Douro and Vinho Verde, Esporão welcomes guests, introducing them to its products with special activities, and, in the case of Herdade de Esporão, at its own restaurant, awarded both a Michelin Star and a Michelin Green Star.

Fundada em 1955, a Adega de Borba reúne hoje cerca de 300 viticultores associados que cultivam cerca de 2.000 hectares de vinha (70% castas tintas e 30% de castas brancas), produzindo anualmente 1 milhão de caixas de 9 litros, sendo um dos maiores produtores nacionais do setor. Dentro das suas Marcas, destacam-se o Adega de Borba DOC, um dos vinhos mais vendidos em Portugal no seu segmento, o icónico Adega de Borba Reserva “Rótulo de Cortiça”, uma Marca com mais de 45 anos que se impôs como uma das referências no Alentejo, o histórico Montes Claros, uma Marca que remonta a 1945 e uma das primeiras a distinguir-se pela sua qualidade singular em Portugal, o Convento da Vila que tem sido largamente reconhecido pela sua ótima relação preço/qualidade, e a recente gama de monovarietais sob a denominação de Senses. Em 2014, os seus vinhos somam 45 medalhas nos concursos nacionais e internacionais já realizados. Pioneira na inovação na sua categoria, a Adega de Borba integrou recentemente a rede PME Inovação da COTEC e alcançou o estatuto de PME Excelência, atribuído pelo IAPMEI.

The perfect weather conditions of the Alentejo, the schist-based soils, the well-drained slopes of the property as well as the carefully selected grape varieties - Touriga Nacional, Aragonês, Alicante Bouschet, Tinta Miuda, Baga, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah (varieties of red grapes) and Arinto, Roupeiro, Antão Vaz, Alvarinho, Verdelho, Viognier and Petit Manseng (varieties of white grapes) - make up the Terroir of Malhadinha Nova with unique conditions for producing wines with unique character and great quality.
