The company produces an open-source, industrial robotic platform. The core component is a new plug-and-play smart motor that is a USB peripheral. When plugged into Android the motor control comes from the local app and the navigation from Google Cloud Services such as Voice, Vision and machine learning. The first application is a material handling cart based on a recently issued US patent for virtual line following. When placed into training mode, the robot extracts a virtual line from the floor that it stores in the cloud for path planning and travel. The system retrofits existing wire carts. The carts still roll when pushed by humans, but drive to a new location when commanded.
