The National Ability Center works to empower individuals with disabilities by building self-esteem, confidence, and lifetime skills through their participation in our adaptive sports, recreation, educational, and community programs. With the generosity of private donors, corporate sponsorships, and the commitment of over a thousand seasonal volunteers, we can serve our non-profit mission and bridge the gap between perceived limitations and what is possible. All activities are offered at an affordable rate and scholarships are available, ensuring participation for all applicants. The NAC staff draws from decades of collective experience working with people who live with a disability and harnessing the power of specialized adaptive equipment, techniques, and teaching methods. Athletes, veterans, children, and families come to our facilities from all 50 US states and around the globe to participate in our transformational programs. We work hard to make recreation and outdoor adventures fun and accessible to people of all abilities. Our “I Can” philosophy reinforces our belief that a disability shouldn’t hinder anyone from living a vibrant, active, and rewarding life.

The Mountaineers is a community of outdoor enthusiasts passionate about exploration, discovery, learning, and conservation. Founded in 1906 by 151 visionaries, our members named peaks, explored waterways, and built trails to uncover unique and challenging landscapes. We helped create the North Cascades Wilderness area, and passed the National Wilderness Act. With an average of 6 activities a day to help you climb, ski, hike, paddle, sail, snowshoe, scramble, and more, we invite you to join us to lose yourself in the outdoors. The American Alpine Club is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization whose vision is a united community of competent climbers and healthy climbing landscapes. Together with our members, the AAC advocates for American climbers domestically and around the world; provides grants and volunteer opportunities to protect and conserve the places we climb; hosts local and national climbing festivals and events; publishes two of the world's most sought-after climbing annuals, the American Alpine Journal and Accidents in North American Mountaineering; cares for the world's leading climbing library and country's leading mountaineering museum; manages the Hueco Rock Ranch, New River Gorge Campground, and Grand Teton Climbers' Ranch as part of a larger lodging network for climbers; and annually gives $100,000+ toward climbing, conservation, and research grants that fund adventurers who travel the world.
