Actone offers Active Ownership Services for private businesses owned by families, entrepreneurs, private equity and other institutional owners by utilizing the proven value creation toolbox common for private equity. Actone provides value add through an active board work (including also chairmanship) and related consultancy. By supporting, challenging and coaching the operative management members, Actone´s mission is to maximize drive and enthusiasm and thereby realize the true potential of people and the business. Typical situations for Actone range from generation shifts in family companies with a freshly agile generation taking over, to supporting private equity to free up their own team resources for allocation to the portfolio companies with the highest upside. Furthermore, Actone provides experienced feet on the ground and a local interface towards the investee company management for overseas investors controlling or in process of acquiring private companies in Finland and throughout the Scandinavia. Mr Markus Sjöholm, the CEO and Founder, has a background from private equity since 1996 and has served at the board of at 19 midsized companies in the Nordics.
