The ActivePlan team has pioneered BIM and space management applications since the 1980s.. We have been involved in the drive for inter-operability since the 1980's and were founding members of the AIA (now BuilidngSmart) in 1994. We focus on the "Information" part of BIM and focus on ways to assimilate and apply that information in the most effective way. We are experts in EIRs, AIRs, GSL, O&M, FM and how COBie can be used as a very practical and simple protocol to deliver and manage asset information . Unlike many information systems, we use floor plans, CAD and BIM models to create the spatial representations of the building and the assets within them to enable better planning and management.
