We fight poverty by helping the poor to fight for their rights and break the structures, which holds them back in hunger and poverty. AADK’s vision is a sustainable world without poverty and injustice in which every person enjoys their right to a life of dignity. AADK’s mission is to work with poor and excluded people to eradicate poverty and injustice. We create democratic and sustainable development alternatives in partnership with organisations and movements in other parts of the world. We offer an opportunity for action to everybody, who is ready to share the responsibility for global sustainable development. In AADK, we believe in the equality of human beings regardless of ethnicity, gender, religion, nationality, and sexual orientation. We see diversity as a strength and a resource in a globalised world. We believe that every person has the right to fight against injustice and to promote social and economic equality. We maintain a high degree of credibility, seriousness and professionalism in our work. As an organisation AADK is popular, challenging, and known for eye-catching happenings involving masses of activists in the streets. We are dynamic and driven by indignation and solidarity with people living in poverty, and we are fuelled by the urge for global justice. In AADK, we believe in the ability of people to create change together. We believe that poverty is a human rights violation arising from unequal power relations. As part of the international alliance ActionAid we work with human rights based development in more than 40 countries and reach more than 25 million of the world´s poor.
