Action, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) charitable, non-profit organization and Community Action Agency serving the Greater Cape Ann area. The mission of Action Inc. is to advance economic equity and foster a thriving community on Cape Ann and beyond. Our vision is to be an instrument of change, work collaboratively with partners to strengthen the community, and help people in our service area access the resources they need to achieve their goals. Our programs include: Short Term Mortgage & Rental Assistance, Public Benefits Support & Referrals, Supportive Housing & Housing First, Emergency Shelter, Affordable Housing, COMPASS Youth Program (intensive HiSET prep for out of school youth), Home Energy Efficiency & Weatherization Services, Fuel Assistance (LIHEAP), Job Training and Career Services, Adult Education, and Financial Empowerment.
