The Action Group is a non-profit, community Agency supporting adults and children with developmental disabilities. The Action Group provides services throughout Central Alberta from its main office in Lacombe. The Action Group has four main areas of Support: Adult Services, Family Services, Employment Centres, and Heartland Manor. The Action Group provides a range of services to adults with developmental disabilities in Lacombe, Red Deer and throughout Central Alberta. Services are responsive to the changing needs of participants and can easily be developed through a number of programs including: -Community Access -Supported Independent Living -Approved Home/Respite Program -Residential Services -Outreach -Employment Services -The Learning Circle The Family Services Program provides children and families with opportunities to grow through training and experience that enhances the quality of life for the family as a whole. Each family participates in the development and direction of their service, which ensures individual needs are respected. The Policies & Procedures identified by Family Supports for Children with Disabilities are followed and a range of services are available throughout Central Alberta including: -Respite Services -Extraordinary Child Care Supports -Community Supports -Behavioural Supports -Developmental Supports -Personal Care Supports Heartland Manor is an assisted living facility for seniors. Service is available in a comfortable, secure, homelike setting twenty four hours a day. Heartland Manor is located just outside of Lacombe on a picturesque rural acreage that provides the tranquility of country living and easy proximity to town. The Lacombe and District Employment Services Centre is a one-stop, comprehensive employment centre serving Lacombe and surrounding area. The centre provides up to the minute labour market information that you need to be successful in Alberta's growing economy.
