ACREDIT is a Regional Research Network for Colorectal Cancer funded by South-Eastern Norway Regional Health Authority (Helse Sør-Øst). The network effort aims to increase available knowledge in diagnosis, treatment, and care of locally advanced and metastatic colorectal cancer patients. The ACREDIT Research Network is based at Akershus University Hospital (AHUS) and Oslo University Hospital (OUS) hospitals affiliated with the University of Oslo. The PIs, one at each site, operate as clinicianscientists, and are the Group Leaders for the two principal research groups in the network: Clinical and Molecular Oncology in Colorectal Cancer (CMOR) at AHUS and Translational Cancer Therapy at OUS. The networks activities were initiated as a joint research program and have evolved into multidisciplinary research on advanced and metastatic colorectal cancer, applying a range of contemporary experimental and clinical scientific approaches. The network has recently been extended to include the Dr. Alina C. Porojnicu, MD PhD (Oncologist) at the Oncology Department of Vestre Viken Trust Regional Hospital, in Drammen, Norway.
