We commenced in January 2012 bringing together the various State and Territory infection control associations formerly in AICA (The Australian Infection Control Association) to support and encourage collaboration across Australasia using a corporate model. The College is here to support the professional practice of infection prevention and control professionals by providing them with support, networking, knowledge and up to date information relevant to their area of practice. Our purpose is to advance the speciality area of infection prevention and control, support members by education and research, enable evidence based development of policy and practice to give improved health care outcomes.
