Acentel was founded in 2012 to address one, major concern of a widening shift within the IT support industry; At Acentel, we value innovation over complacency. We didn't start with hardware and software, attempting to pigeonhole our product offerings into cookie cutter solutions for our clients. We didn't start with predefined, complacent notions that every customer needs the same solution or service. Instead, we started with a whiteboard, and a lot of questions. We asked ourselves, "why can fortune 100 companies that we have worked with in the past be running in just moments if a server fails, but not a small company? What are our client's real technology needs? How can Acentel be proactive in supporting our clients instead of reactive like most other providers?" In our quest to answer these questions, we came to a simple, yet scary, conclusion; during the course of our careers and years of experience supporting companies, we had inadvertently become complacent in using, "industry standards" and "accepted solutions". We were no longer driving positive change, but relying on the status quo. We realized that we could not be beholden to old technologies, we could not be complacent simply with what we knew; we had to innovate. We tested dozens of new products, services and software. We met with more companies to discover their own unique technical needs. And we challenged vendors to provide solutions that helped our clients. After extensive, brutal testing, field deployments, failures, restarting testing, and eventually, successes, we assembled a superior product portfolio to meet these challenges, yet had enough flexibility to help and tailor our solutions for future clients as well.
