Accountancy Training Centre Inc. is a 100% Guyanese-owned company that specializes in providing academic and professional training programs to people with a variety of educational backgrounds. It is an institution with over 22 years of experience in this field, and it has provided many professionals in Guyana and elsewhere with the credentials they have used to build their success stories. In response to the Covid-19 countrywide restrictive measures in place at the time, ATC Inc. has invested heavily in technology and has been delivering all its courses online since 2020. This change in operations was also in line with the changes implemented by the awarding organizations with which the Institution has long worked. These organizations have moved away from traditional methods of assessment, with some offering on-demand computer-based exams and others offering open-book exams that students can take online at their leisure. ATC Inc. recently implemented Moodle as its Learning Management System (LMS), with all its courses structured, delivered, and evaluated in a single comprehensive cloud-based platform. Moodle has increased the Institution's efficiency in course delivery, record keeping, and internal quality assurance monitoring by approximately 20%, while also improving the online learning environment for its students. The Institution is currently negotiating with other potential partners to expand its course offerings to its student base and to increase its ability to accommodate a broader range of computer-based examinations for various international awarding organizations. Some of these negotiations are nearing completion, and announcements will be made as soon as they are.
