Access Unbound Information

Access Unbound (AU) connects people with disabilities to world-class recreation and learning. Our mission is to empower independence, connecting people with disabilities to fun recreation and top-notch learning. We are the only organization that supports people with disabilities, who have financial need, in access to high caliber recreational learning opportunities – regardless of age, disability type, and background. We take a three-pronged approach to achieving our mission by providing: • Scholarship support to individuals needing financial assistance to make the mountain experience possible through lessons taught by trained professional instructors; • Funding for professional instructors to increase knowledge and skills required when teaching clients with disabilities and to obtain advanced certifications; and • Investment in specialized equipment needed to serve individuals with a wide variety of disabilities. Scholarship recipients report how AU has changed their lives by giving them confidence on the ski slopes that transfers into their life off the slopes, allowing them to accomplish what they never would have thought possible.
