Acceptional is in the process of creating a comprehensive platform to help high school students navigate every stage of the stressful college admissions process. Our first service, launched a year ago, offers high school students the opportunity to review sample essays from admitted students at top tier colleges. The model is simple: a college student at a top tier college uploads the essay that got him accepted and every time someone views that essay on our site, the student earns a couple of dollars. Acceptional takes a wide variety of measures to prevent plagiarism, including opening our databases to the colleges. High school students can search essays by GPA, test scores or demographic data. They can use the essays to benchmark what it takes to get into a top college as well as think through how to structure their essays. High school students and parents knows what SAT scores or GPA each college accepts, but there is very little transparency on the essay side of the application process. Our first service aims to change that.
