Elephant was founded on the idea that healthcare systems can be both simple and personal, allowing patients to access all kinds of health information wherever they are and with the latest technology. In 2006, touchscreen technology was in its infancy. After several years as a CEO in the voluntary sector, Annette Walker MBE founded Elephant Kiosks to make information and services more accessible to more people. She gathered a team of British designers and manufacturers to develop a touchscreen kiosk specifically for use within the public and voluntary sectors, the EleKiosk. People’s adoption of touchscreen technology have developed tremendously in the last few years. In response Elephant (we dropped the “kiosks”) has continued to develop technology and software products used throughout the UK and abroad across a wide range of sectors. One of Elephant’s specialisms is healthcare, with comprehensive solutions for everything from patient feedback, to triage systems. We work with large NHS Trusts and CCGs, but also have ongoing projects with GPs, Pharmacies, and many other public and voluntary sector organisations.
