MEDECO supplies four main product lines to WHO organizations and other clients in over 40 countries, mostly developing nations. These include: • Auto Disable (AD) Syringes • Single use syringes (Sizes: 2/3 ml & 5 ml) • Infusion sets • IV cannulae • Insulin syringes (1 ml) These products are used in large scale vaccination and curative programmes around the world by government hospitals, private clinics, WHO organizations and other NGO's including UNICEF. MEDECO’s markets include the UAE, where it is a major supplier to the UAE Ministry of Health (MOH) and private sector clients, and also the other GCC countries, through distributor networks. Further north, MEDECO supplies Iraq’s Ministry of Health and enjoys substantial market share in the private sector. MEDECO's products are also supplied to Far Eastern countries, Asia and North African countries. MEDECO bases its market coverage and success as a health care supplier on its research, engineering, design and production capabilities. These include quality management, ensuring that all products (syringes, IV cannula and IV sets) are produced to the most rigorous specifications. Currently, MEDECO’s partner company, Pharmaplan, is researching 2/3 ml and 5 ml AD syringe designs. These new products are expected to be delivered to the market in 2007.
