Able Carpet Care was established in 1980 by Phil Venten. Mr. Venten pioneered carpet cleaning in Melbourne, especially when he brought the first truck-mounted machine in Australia in 1978. He lead the way in forward thinking of advanced carpet cleaning by forming the Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning Association (C.U.C.A). This Group made the first inroads into the science of carpet and upholstery carpet cleaning. Able Carpet Care was purchased by the Paydon family in 1986, Michael took over the business in 1988. Many years later the company has a Factory/Office in South Oakleigh, Michael Paydon currently being Managing Director and Francois Rouge senior Technician, . Michael Paydon was IICRC and A.C.C.I accredited in 1994 and has established a strong relationship with both organisations. All full-time employees are required to complete a carpet-cleaning course with this institute.
