ÅBEN Information

ÅBEN is a Danish craft brewery focusing on brewing hoppy IPAs, fruited sours, lagers, and imperial stouts. ÅBEN was founded in Kolding in 2017, but today all beers are brewed locally at the brewery in Copenhagen, where guests can also visit ÅBEN’s bar and restaurant. ÅBEN is also behind bars in Aarhus, Roskilde and is the initiator behind the beer festival KALAS and the music festival O Days. The name ÅBEN derives from the Danish phrase ‘to be open’. The mantra of openness is fundamental for ÅBEN; from being open about our brewing process and the beers we brew to an openness towards creative partnerships and new ways of connecting people through beers.
