Abacus Laser GmbH Information

Abacus Laser was founded in 2014 by Dr. Christoph Bollig. First assignments were in the areas of planning and consulting, as well as the maintenance and modification of LiDAR systems. In 2015, the company began its first hardware development for wind LiDAR. At the same time, Abacus Laser moved into the premises of the Göttingen Technology and Start-up Center (GöTec) and established development laboratories and offices there. A particular focus today lies in the development of wind LiDAR modules. In addition to its own developments, Abacus Laser offers customized special solutions and provides consulting services in the fields of lasers, optical remote sensing (LiDAR), and optical measurement technology. Furthermore, Abacus Laser provides services for the repair, maintenance, and modification of existing laser and LiDAR systems. The company can draw on more than 25 years of experience in laser development, LiDAR, and coherent detection and possesses a globally unique expertise in single-frequency pulsed lasers, lasers in the eye-safe wavelength range, and coherent LiDAR.
