Aaghaaz - The Women Development and Empowerment cell of College of Vocational studies are inclined towards helping women in and outside the college campus. The main objective of WDC is to look into the grievances of teaching staff, non-teaching staff and students, especially in cases of gender discrimination. We spread the word about the problems of women and in particular regarding gender discrimination. To develop the self-confidence of Women. To guide about Women Welfare Laws. To assert the importance of spiritual, economic, social, racial, and gender equality. We think Gender Equality basically begins in the mind. It is an individual’s perception of treating another person at par with himself/herself. It does not happen in one day – it’s more of a practice that you do every day.
