AAC TechConnect , Inc. Information

AAC TechConnect was founded in 2005 by Debby McBride. Due to her extensive experience in the field working in multiple capacities (see bio below), she has seen several areas which lack resources to assist professionals in evaluating persons with individuals with complex communication needs (CCN). In addition, the variety of device choices has expanded to several hundred, and sorting through them is difficult. As a result of these perceived needs, and the market research which has been completed, this website and its resources were created. Her team has put together free information on AAC devices in order to be a "central source" for helping you research device choices and options. In addition, there are fee-for-service online products available to assist when doing AAC device research and/or AAC evaluations. We are also happy to announce that we currently are a project of the AAC-RERC; a collaborative research group dedicated to the development of effective AAC technology.
