A4 Data Consulting builds data platforms and production AI systems for organizations that need to own what they end up with, or managed analytics-as-a-service. A company can see that its data should be telling it something, and cannot get at it. The answer is rarely another dashboard — it is a warehouse the team trusts, pipelines that run without supervision, governance that satisfies the auditor, and AI that does real work against all of it. WHAT WE DO Data platform build-outs — warehouse, pipelines and dashboards your team actually trusts. Migration off legacy SQL Server, on-prem Hadoop or a tangle of Excel exports. Analytics engineering as an ongoing service. Custom data applications for when a dashboard isn't enough. Data strategy and audit. And AI and ML productionization: models out of notebooks and into production, with the monitoring, retraining and infrastructure that keeps them working. HOW WE WORK Hands-on, by the founder. No junior pyramid and no rotating cast — the platforms our clients own are the ones we built with them. Everything ships on AWS or GCP as infrastructure-as-code, with Terraform and CI/CD from the first commit, so nothing we deliver depends on us being there. We hold running costs down deliberately: applications we operate sit at $1–10 per month each in steady state, because serverless architecture, done carefully, costs close to nothing at rest. SELECTED WORK • An environmental research organization: four million rows of international trade data collected automatically and made queryable, so analysis starts at the question, not at data entry. • A civic technology platform: roughly 250,000 legislative bills read by AI and turned into plain-language summaries, every claim traceable to the statutory text it came from. • A marketing agency: two years, from an honest read on the gap to a mature data operation through to the reporting the business now runs on.
