9apps is a provider of cloud based infrastructures and devops services but this has not always been the case. Our origins can be tracked back to 2009, where we developed cloud based solutions for Android apps. The initial goal was to excel in pristine service levels. The only way to achieve this was to allow a maximum of only 9 different apps to be serviced at one given time!! Hence the name 9apps! 9apps soon entered alternative cloud services, being one of the earliest adaptors of Amazon Web Services and having written several books about the technology behind Cloud Computing. Its proximity to the start-up scene in Amsterdam made it an ideal partner for start ups looking for flexible infrastructure. 9apps expanded its services to various non smart phone customers and started building a track record in Cloud based infrastructure for small and medium enterprises, with household names like Trivago and Malmberg. Almost a decade later we can happily say 9apps is still very much alive and kicking. It has an enthusiastic group of cloud engineers and lots of ambitions and plans. We aim to position ourself as the preferred partner of choice for start ups and SME’s looking for Cloud Migration and Development Operations services, with IOT peeking around the corner as the next corner stone.
