Kids who participate in sports and the arts do better in school, they reap benefits that will last a lifetime. Sports teaches teamwork and leadership skills. Taking up an instrument can help a child develop focus, memory, and concentration. Performance art leads to creativity and better language and reading skills. But the truth is, many kids don't get the chance to join in these essential activities at school. You can help make these opportunities available to every child. Volunteer!
