3rd Battalion 3rd Marines Alumni Information

3d Battalion 3d Marines, abbreviated as 3/3 and known informally as either America's Battalion or Trinity, is a United States Marine Corps infantry battalion based out of Marine Corps Base Hawaii. The battalion is part of the 3d Marine Regiment and the 3d Marine Division, and consists of approximately 1,000 U.S. Marines and United States Navy sailors. It contains three rifle companies (India, Kilo, and Lima), a Headquarters and Services (H&S) company, and a Weapons Company. Its mission is to locate, close with and destroy the enemy by fire and maneuver or to repel the enemy's assault by fire and close combat. Historically, 3d Battalion 3d Marines has fought in World War II, Vietnam, Desert Storm, Operation Enduring Freedom, and Operation Iraqi Freedom.
